Positive Behaviorial Intervention Supports (PBIS)
We had our first PBIS assembly on August 25, 2016. The students had fun watching their teaching demonstrate the minute-to-win-it games! Star-buck tickets were introduced and they will be replacing our bucket tickets from last year. They were also informed about all the prizes they can earn by following school-wide expectations. To assist in their learning, a team of staff lead rotations in all the areas of the school day. They learned about classroom, hallway, bathroom, cafeteria, recess, assembly and bus expectations.
Our next PBIS assembly is scheduled for December 2, 2016. Prizes available are: 1. PBIS t-shirt raffle-one winner per classroom. 2. 4 winners per grade level for lunch with Ms. Dzik. 3. 1 boy and 1 girl top Star-Bucks winner for each class will sit in a chair next to his/her teacher during the assembly. 4. Dig it Up Dinosaur Book/Kit raffle-one winner. Each classroom also competes to demonstrate classroom, hallway, bathroom, cafeteria, recess, and assembly expectations. When an entire classroom is following expectations, they can earn a classroom Star-buck ticket. The classroom that has the most Star-bucks tickets, per grade, will earn a classroom celebration!!
