Erin's Law
On January 24th, 2013, Governor Pat Quinn signed into law Erin’s Law, which requires all Illinois schools to provide age-appropriate child sexual abuse prevention education for students Pre-Kindergarten-12. Programs should include techniques to teach children to recognize child sexual abuse, equip them with skills to reduce their vulnerability and encourage them to report the abuse.
